Whether you’re buying for yourself or a loved one, choosing the correct size is key to making your jewellery experience seamless and enjoyable - if you do run into trouble with sizing, please get in touch with me and I will help you find a solution.
I offer ring sizers on my website - so you can get one here.
How to Measure Your Ring Size
Option 1: Measure a ring
Another way to find out your ring size is to measure the inner diameter of one of your rings using a ruler, then compare it to the size chart below. Each mm counts and remember that each finger is different, so measure a ring that fits the finger you want your new ring to go on.
You can also go to the nearest jeweller and they will measure your size for free.
Option 2: Measure Your Finger
If you don't have a ring sizer, you can easily measure your finger at home with a simple tool—a strip of paper, string, or a tape measure. Here’s how to do it:
- Get a String or Paper Strip: Use a piece of string, paper, or a soft tape measure that won’t stretch.
- Wrap It Around Your Finger: Wrap the string or paper snugly around the base of your finger where the ring will sit. Be sure it’s not too tight, but firm enough that it won’t slip off.
- Mark the Point of Overlap: Once you’ve wrapped the string or paper around, mark where the ends meet.
- Measure the Length: Lay the string or paper flat and measure the length with a ruler in millimetres.
- Use the Ring Size Chart: Compare your measurement with the chart below to find your ring size.

Returns and Exchanges
Due to the nature of opals, it is also important to note their colouring can look different under different lighting, and from different angles. It can be hard to capture an opal’s true beauty. I use a professional camera to capture my opals, and any inclusions or things to note are listed in the product description.
Please ask for more photos or videos under varied lights if you are unsure, as I cannot refund you due to not liking the opal.
Import taxes and Customs
We are not responsible for any additional incurred importing costs such as customs or additional tax for international orders outside of Australia. Fee's and import costs may vary depending on your country's rules & regulations on jewellery & higher priced items. When you make a purchase outside of Australia you are liable for all import duties and taxes on your order.
Sustainability
At From Planet Earth, sustainability is at the core of everything I do. I believe that jewellery should be as responsible as it is beautiful, which is why I use only ethically sourced gemstones, Australian-mined silver and gold, and recycled precious metals. Each piece is handcrafted by me, ensuring that every design is not only a unique work of art but also a reflection of my commitment to protecting the earth.
My pieces are made to last—not just as timeless treasures, but as investments in sustainability. The materials I choose are carefully selected to minimise environmental impact, and I take pride in working with suppliers who share my values of ethical sourcing and responsible production. From working with industry leaders like Palloys, or by repurposing and reusing precious metals, I reduce waste and give old treasures new life, ensuring that every piece is both beautiful and meaningful.
On the practical side, my sustainable practices; from recyclable eco-mailers, to my sustainably sourced precious metals and gemstones you can find out more by following these links:
